Being healthy means more than just being fit. It comes down to surrounding yourself with the right people, adopting a winning mindset, and cultivating a positive lifestyle that will give you the happiness that you want from life. That’s the reason that we have launched our Personal Development Book Club at ACLAÍ (First meeting on Friday the 16th of May 2015 at 7.30pm in ACLAÍ).


My mother was a librarian for around 30 years, and one of the greatest gifts that my brothers and I were given as children was the encouragement to read, and a new book every other day. Now, I read about 1 book each week, and listen to audio books and podcasts like they are going out of fashion. After 7 years university, and with Bachelors degree, and Masters degree in hand, I  can safely say that the quality and volume of information that I have absorbed from the reading that I do each week far outweighs the slips of paper on the wall.


Starting our own  book club has been on my mind for quite some time now, and I am delighted that it is finally kicking off. Choosing the right books to read gives you direct access to the great minds of the world, and can even teleport your imagination into a whole different universe. Learn from those who have gone before, and who can relay first hand what is required for success in whatever area of your life that you choose.


We are going to meet once per month and pick 1 book  with the theme of personal development, covering success in life, business, health, happiness, and ongoing learning. Joining the ACLAÍ book club is totally free, and we will have some tea and coffee for you as well! At each meeting we will discuss the book from the previous month, and preview the upcoming book.
