Recently I outlined out ‘To Hell With Diets’ Diet to great acclaim! Today, I want to share with you some simple tools that you should have at your disposal that will help you immensely on your epic voyage to fitness and health.
1. A VERY Sharp Knife
Essential kit for anybody who is serious about eating real food. After you have weaned yourself of ready made meals and takeaways, you may be shocked to discover that real food requires a measure of preparation for human consumption. Chop you veg in bulk, and store in in the fridge for speedy meals when you need them. Believe me, you will thank me for this tip!
2. A good thick chopping board.
This one doesn’t need much explaining after #1. Get yourself a nice thick wooden chopping board and chop to your hearts content. In fact, its good to have a second chopping board to prepare raw meat on. Essential kit.
3. A Blender/ Smoothie Machine
Treats, post workout nutrition, and meals on the go will come in the form of darn tasty smoothies. Having a good blender at hand will bring you joy and food diversity when you need to jazz up your new eating habits. Remember to put the lid on before whizzing up your fruit, its hard to get it off the ceiling.
4. A few top quality lunch boxes.
An absolute requirement for bringing food with you when required. These little gems are going to be your savior when you are faced with the options of a Subway or McDonalds when you are out and about. I have 2 little stainless steel numbers that come with me stacked with goodness pretty much everywhere I go. I have a nice glass one too. Super!
5. A massive pot!
This is for cooking stews, curries, chili, or pretty much anything else that you want to make a lot off. Convenience is really important when you are on a mission to eat well, and therefore you should aim to cook 5-6 portions of your food at any one time. This will mean you have some quality grub stored in your beautiful little lunchboxes in the fridge when its feeding time. Its even easier than ordering a takeaway!
